All I can say to Lesley is thank you, thank you, thank you. There is really not enough I can say for all her help and support during my divorce. As I am sure you are aware, it was by far the most difficult thing I have ever had to endure. Lesley helped me each and every step of the way.
To be frank, it was amazing how well Lesley knew when to push me, “prop me up”, and really helped me fight for the most important thing in the world to me – my two children. Lesley was a fantastic advocate of my decision to fight for my children. If I had signed the documents any time sooner, I would have lost parental rights, and perhaps never seen my boys again. When the divorce got nasty, Lesley did not back down in any way. I was completely unprepared for how nasty things got. I was still used to the “woman I loved” and married. I was not ready for my wife as an opponent. I am still grateful Lesley was.
We both know I did my homework. I spoke with at least another 25 lawyers; I still have the bills to prove it. Lesley was the best. Time and time again I learned that Lesley had the proper approach, tactic and plan of attack. Lesley represented me in two different counties on two very different matters. She was a recommendation from an attorney I grew up with and trust like a brother, but he only does criminal and met Lesley when she was a prosecutor.
She represented me in two different counties on several post divorce matters regarding my children. Then she represented me in a two year long DYFS matter where my ex-wife was the target parent, and that case was a true nightmare. I do not live in New Jersey anymore, and the entire time Lesley was my attorney, I lived in another state. In all cases, her courtroom skill, tactical legal knowledge and depth of experience was the advantage that I needed to protect my children and my rights. A couple of descriptive words would be: tenacious, thorough and beacon. In fact, during the DYFS matter I was deployed to Iraq, I was never worried about my case because Lesley was there representing my interests the same as she would if I had been sitting in the courtroom with her, which gave me some comfort in the middle of a war zone.
